Private Clinical Social Work Practice
Life is an amazing gift that gives us the experience of joy, love, excitement and purpose. Yet, at times we are presented with challenges that inhibit our true selves and inhibit our access to positive experiences.
You will find that I embrace a “strengths-based” view by serving as a witness and validating the truth of your journey. I use guided imagery, meditation, and other mindfulness/body-mind centered modalities. I create a nurturing/sacred therapeutic space for clients to tap into their unique strengths in order to make positive life changes.
I have extensive experience counseling individuals, children, families and groups. Specialty areas include working with clients and clients’ loved ones dealing with trauma, illness, grief and bereavement, and life transitions. I also specialize in working with individuals recovering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), child abuse, sexual abuse, spousal abuse and other traumatic experiences. At times, I integrate a variety of relaxation techniques into therapy sessions, including guided imagery, meditation, and other mindfulness/body-mind centered modalities. The main goal of my clinical practice is to establish a therapeutic relationship based on trust, caring, openness and practical support as clients navigate complex life challenges.
I understand the importance of finding a therapist who is the right fit for you, and offer a free 30 minute phone or face-to-face consultation prior to beginning therapy.
